Cruise Tip #2 - You get personal Bulters for a week !!

During the cruise the following 2 people will become an extended part of your family:

- Dining Room Server
- Stateroom Attendant

Additionally, there is the Dining Room Assistant Server & Dining Room Head Server to help to ensure things go smoothly.

As like all other cruise lines, the above staff depend on your gratuities as part of their salary. So how much would you pay for excellent service in a restaurant?

Disney suggests the following per day (per person staying in a cabin):

$25.75 - Dining Room Server
$18.75 - Dining Room Assistant Server
$6.50 - Dining Room Head Server
$25.25 - Stateroom Attendant

Total for the week is US$76.25 per person. So a family of 4, the total is approx $300.

You are under no obligation to align to the suggested amount. However, our experience has been that your main server and room attendant are just fabulous and definitely deserve the tips.

To think about it in another way .... What would tip a waiter in a superb restaurant for having breakfast, lunch and supper everyday? If you do the math based on this scenario, I think you will see that the above numbers are reasonable.

For Bar Service, a gratuity of 15% is automatically added to the bill. This is standard practice across the cruise industry.

Count and save your pennies....and enjoy your personal butlers for a whole week !!
